MILLINOCKET – Harold M. Boyer, 84, of Maine Avenue, entered into rest Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at his daughter’s home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband to the late Christine (Ellis) Boyer. Mr. Boyer was born Dec. 30, 1920, to the late Walter and Ivie (Wotton) Boyer. Harold served in the U.S. Navy during World War II stationed in China. He was employed by Great Northern Paper Co. for 27 years as an electrician/instrumentation. Harold was known for his sense of humor, and enjoyed cross country skiing, golf and writing poetry. He was a former member of the Oddfellows and the Northern Timber Cruisers snowmobile club. Mr. Boyer is survived by his three beloved daughters, Lorine Bolduc of Portsmouth, N.H., Marcia Nice and her companion, Henry Harper, of Millinocket, and Valerie Labby and her spouse, “Puggy”, of Millinocket. Harold is also survived by one sister, Olive Duran of Connecticut; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children, and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by a special niece, Nancy Millen and her two sons. Mr. Boyer was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Friends are invited to a graveside service 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, in Millinocket Cemetery with full Military Honors. The Rev. Rudy Homchuck of Millinocket Baptist Church will officiate.
