HAROLD M. TILLEY BRIDGEWATER – Harold M. Tilley, 80, died Aug. 12, 2004, at his residence. He was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Bridgewater, the son of Percy and Elizabeth (Carmichael) Tilley. Harold worked for the state as a heavy equipment operator for 30 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to camp. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Petrie) Tilley of Bridgewater; three sons, Robert of Aurora, Colo., Donald and his fianc?e, Kristi Alexander, of Mars Hill, Timothy and his wife, Cathy, of Sanger, Calif.; two daughters, Cindy Szeluga and her husband, Ralph, of West Farmington, Ohio, Tammy Keller and her husband, Jerry of Brownville; seven grandchildren, Ryan Mahany, Shannon Tilley, Chad Tilley, Sean Tilley, Cody Tilley, Wyatt Keller, Ashley Akers; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers and a sister. A memorial service was conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at the Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, with the Rev. Jessie Drysdale officiating. Friends called from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment took place at Smith Cemetery in Bridgewater following the service. Those who wish may donate in Harold’s memory to the St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 682, Mars Hill, ME 04758. Duncan Funeral Home handled arrangements.
