OTTER CREEK – Harold R. Lynk Sr., 68, died Feb. 21, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 8, 1938, at Otter Creek, the son of Angus and Josephine (Crosby) Lynk. Harold was an honest, hard working employee of Chancy McFarland for several years. He then was employed at the Colket Estate, Bar Harbor, until he retired. He had a great love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was loved by all his family and friends, and will be missed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Bertha E. (Liscomb) Lynk of Otter Creek; one son, Harold Lynk Jr. of Bar Harbor; and one daughter, Mary Harkins and husband, John, of Tremont; two stepsons, Philip Smith and companion, Mary Grace, of Trenton and Maurice Smith and wife, Sharon, of East Holden; one stepdaughter, Susan Knudsen and husband, Wilbur, of Mariaville; one sister, Evelyn Davis of Old Town; and three grandchildren, Katie Lynk, Chris and Matt Harkins; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to call 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor, where funeral services will be 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Buchanan officiating.
