MAPLETON – Harold S. Bagley, 77, died Wednesday morning, April 2, 2008, at his residence. He was born July 11, 1930, in Castle Hill, the son of Stanley and Virginia (Ireland) Bagley. Harold served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1954. He worked most of his life as a self-employed carpenter. He was a lifelong aviation enthusiast. He is survived by a son, Dana Bagley and his wife, Melodie, of Morrill; three stepsons and their wives, Dan and Michelle Bagley of Ashburn, Va., Doug and Sally Oliver of Tilton, N.H., and David and Valerie Bagley of Merrimack, N.H.; a brother, Bob Bagley and his wife, Alta, of Mapleton; a sister, JoAn Smiley and her husband, Ron, of Rehoboth, Mass.; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, two special friends, Verney and Donna Dean of Mapleton. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A graveside service will be held later this spring at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton.
