CALAIS – Harriet B. Woods, 95, passed away peacefully Jan. 25, 2006, at a Calais hospital. She was born March 25, 1910, in Calais, the daughter of Ernest and Edna (Perkins) Hill. Harriet worked for WT Grant Company in Calais for 20 years. She was a member of the Calais United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, James Woods and four sisters and their husbands. Surviving are two nieces, Katherine A. (Glidden) Berry of Robbinston and Olive (Glidden) Wojnowski of Uxbridge Mass.; nephews, Cecil Wilson of Brewer and Earnest Barnes of Robbinston; many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She will be missed by her family and many friends. Friends may call 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais and 1-2 p.m. Saturday, at which time a funeral service will take place. Burial will follow in Calais Cemetery.
