WALTHAM, Mass. – Harriet May Mooers, 76, passed away Feb. 21, 2005, at Waltham, Mass. She was born April 19, 1928, in Bangor, the daughter of Harry A. and May (King) Mooers. She was graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in 1946, and from the Melrose Hospital School of Nursing in 1949. Harriet worked all her life as a nurse at hospitals in Massachusetts, including many years at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass. At the time of her death, she was a patient at a Waltham healthcare center. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Marjorie M. Jenkins of Brewer; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Helen Mooers of Durham, Mrs. Geraldine Mooers of Portland; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and a dear friend, Helen Reed-Gray of Arlington, Mass. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the family lot, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor at a date to be announced by the Foley Funeral Service, Bangor.
