GUILFORD – Harry Alonzo “Sonny” Collins, 68, died Nov. 16, 2006, with his son, Tony at his side, at his home. He was born Sept. 6, 1938, in Guilford, son of Alonzo and Courtney (Crabtree) Collins. He graduated from Piscataquis Community High School, Guilford, Class of 1956, and was a member of Mount Kineo Masonic Lodge No. 109, Guilford. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Turkey. He worked for J.J. Nissen Baking Co., Brewer, for many years. He was a gentleman farmer, enjoyed raising racing horses and was one of the first members of the Rub-a-Dub-Dub Investment Club, Belfast. He is survived by two sisters, June Small and her husband, Eric, of Sandwich, Mass., and Judith Danforth and her husband, Dana, of Belfast; two sons, Tony Collins of Guilford and Lance Collins of Franklin; and four grandchildren, Brooke Barber and her husband, Stephen, of Naples, Brian Collins of Searsmont, Brock Collins, and Bailey Collins, both of Franklin. He was predeceased by his parents; and a special niece, Tessa Danforth-Bullard. There will be no public services at this time. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
