BREWER – Heidi G. Oldenburgh, 43, wife of Daniel Oldenburgh, passed away Nov. 23, 2006, after a long, hard-fought battle with pulmonary hypertension. Heidi had a double lung transplant Sept 8, 2006, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. She was born April 6, 1963, in Lincoln, the daughter of Wendall and Catherine (Ham) Granville. She was a 1981 graduate of Lee Academy and received an associate’s degree in business from Husson College. Through experience and training, she worked her way up to be a medical assistant in the office of Dr. Christopher Ritter. In addition to her husband, Daniel; and her mother, Catherine, she is survived by three children, Jana Libbey and Luke of Lincoln, Jessica Gavett and Aaron of Cooperstown, N.Y., and Jeremy Gifford and Ashley Spencer of Brewer; two step-children, Kayla Oldenburgh of California and Thomas Oldenburgh of Massena, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Christian, Domonic and Jillian; two stepgrandchildren, Madison and Brock; three sisters, Shirley Avery and Roger of Lincoln, Vera Carbone and Gerry of Cheshire, Conn, and Jaye Richello and Bill of Meriden, Conn.; many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a special uncle, Ronald Budge. She was predeceased by her father, Wendall Granville. Heidi will always be remembered for her vibrant personality, her contagious laughter, her words of encouragement and love, her wit, and her fondness for the great times and good wine she shared with all her family. Heidi passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, knowing she was loved and will always be loved. Services will be announced in a later edition of the Bangor Daily News.
