MILO – Helen Brown McCorrison, 75, died Oct. 30, 2004, at home, as she wished, being cared for by her girls and surrounded by her family and friends. She was born March 18, 1929, in Brownville, the daughter of Ed and Bessie (Bennett) Brown. Helen graduated from Milo High School in the Class of 1946, and in her young adult life was active in the Episcopal Church in Milo. She is survived by her children, Carol Lyford Davidson and husband, Harold, of Garland, Georgia Lyford Walker and husband, Michael, of Bowdoinham, Donna Lyford Stone and Ray St. Laurent, of Pittsfield, N.H., Shelley McCorrison Humphrey and Rob Holyoke, of Old Town; 10 grandchildren: Dawn Marie Graves and Greg, Veronica LeVesque and Tim, Sherri Coburn and Mike, Patricia Stanhope and Ray, Annie Bowman and Rob, Lance Walker and Heidi, Heather Cox and Tony, Brandy Stone, Brittney Stone and Roy, Chelsey Humphrey; 13 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Derrick and Shawn Graves, Malorie and Amanda Robinson, Justin LeVesque, Jessica and Erica Coburn, Ashley and Joshua Stanhope, Anna and Olivia Cox, Trevor Hathorn; brothers and sisters, Maj. Bruce B. Brown and wife, Florence, of Hermon, Charles Brown and wife, Susan Forsythe, of Sea Ranch, Calif., Beve Roberts and husband, Bob, of Monson, Flora Anderson and husband, Micky, of Monson, Wayne Brown and wife, Shirley, of Milo, Dale Brown of Elliot. She will also be remembered by special friends Barbie, Bev, Delores, Myrtle, Cal and all her “Ladies” at Garden Way Apts. Helen will be remembered for her good nature, her wonderful cooking and her beautiful handwork. At her request services will be for the family only. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
