BANGOR – Helen (Dill) Peabody, 91, wife of the late George F. Peabody of Bangor, died Dec. 16, 2003, at the home of her daughter, Sarah, surrounded by her lovely family and caregivers. She was born in Fort Fairfield, Sept. 25, 1912, the daughter of Clinton Lee and Edith Miriam (Bridges) Dill. She enjoyed her memberships in the Athene and the Quipus Clubs of Bangor and traveled extensively with her late husband, George. Surviving are three daughters, Sarah P. Pendleton and her husband, Richard C. Jr., Mary P. FitzPatrick and her husband, Ronald E., all of Bangor, Jane P. Snyder and her husband, Clarence R. III of Clifton Park, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Karen A. Pendleton, George P. Pendleton, Kathryn P. Grover and her husband, George and their daughter, Danielle, Amy-Jane F. Mooney and her husband, Michael, Scott E. FitzPatrick and his daughter, Natalie, Jeremy M. Snyder and his wife, Leah, Mary B. Snyder; one niece, Helen (Dill) Read; three nephews, David Dill, John Dill and Stephen Dill. A funeral service for the family only will be held Thursday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, chaplain of Husson College, officiating. Interment will be at Mt.
