BANGOR – Helen F. (Hodgkins) Gott, wife of the late Clayton R. Gott, died Feb. 1, 2005, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor, after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Laurence W. Hodgkins, Sr. and Mary (Royal) Hodgkins. She attended schools in Trenton and graduated from Ellsworth High School. Helen worked for many years at the Maine Employment Security Commission until her retirement. She is survived by one son, Clayton Gott and his wife, Pilar; and granddaughter, Tatiana; two daughters, Beth Gott and Reggie LaFountain of Kenduskeag, Jill Gott of Bangor; brothers, James and his wife, Susan, Elmer and his wife, Maureen, all of Trenton, Whitney and his wife, Bea, of East Winthrop; sister, Jeanice Cousins of Billings, Mont.; sister-in-law, Marian Hodgkins of Trenton; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, mother and father, she was predeceased by her brothers, Phillip and Gerald Hodgkins of Trenton; and brother-in-law, Stewart Cousins of Billings, Mont. She was loved and will be sadly missed by family and many friends. Graveside services will be held for the immediate family in the spring.
