NAPLES, Fla. – Robert D. Ham, 81, passed away Wed-nesday, Feb. 2, 2005. Mr. Ham had been a resident of Naples and Estero since 1990 coming from Groton, Conn. He was born May 24, 1923, in Springfield, Maine, a son of the late Raymond and Ora (Lindsay) Ham. He graduated from the University of Maine with his degree in civil engineering. He worked as a civil engineer for the U.S. Navy for 39 years. Bob was an avid square dancer for more than 30 years and was a member of the Christus Victor Lutheran Church where he was very active in various activities. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Florence B. Ham of Naples, Fla.; son, James P. Ham of Franklin, Mass.; daughter, Barbara H. Dee of Portland; and three grandsons, Robert Dee, Jeffery Dee and Kevin Ham. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Eric and Philip Ham and Clifford Budge; one sister, Helen Quinn. A Memorial service celebrating his life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Christus Victor Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tom Slater, pastor, officiating. Walter Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
