BRUNSWICK – Helen Grace Buzzell, 94, of 12 Longfellow Ave., wife of the Maine State Police Sgt. George C. Buzzell, died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at Parkview Adventist Medical Center. She was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Jefferson, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Glidden. She graduated from Rockland High School and the Maine School of Commerce. Augusta. She worked for Milliken, Tomlinson Co. in Belfast and Bangor, and for several years at Bowdoin College. She had lived in Brunswick since 1945. Sgt. Buzzell died in 1966. She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church, a deaconess and for many years, a teacher of the Olivet Bible Class. She is survived by a son, Stephen R. Buzzell and his wife, Gladys, of Charleston; and a daughter, Barbara Buzzell Sajko and her husband, Peter, of Concord, N.H.; four grandchildren, Tracey Nadeau, Troy Ketch, Daniel Sajko and Andrew Sajko; several nieces and a nephew. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Jefferson in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
