MILLINOCKET – Helen K. Copp, 87, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at a Brewer healthcare facility. She was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Millinocket, the daughter of George and Lena (Finn) McMahon. Helen enjoyed crocheting, reading, and was an avid bingo player. She was a member of the plus and minus club, hospital auxiliary, Katahdin area support group, AARP, and she taught C.C.D., she was also an adult leader of the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization). She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Elaine and Stephen Bushnell of Hopedale, Mass.; one son, Douglas Copp of Ojai, Calif.; two grandchildren, Jessica and Christopher; one brother, John McMahon of California; one brother-in-law, Darrel Copp of Lubec; many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Chandler Copp in 1998; her brothers, Vincent and Joseph; one sister, Georgina MacDonnell. As per Helen’s request, there will be no visiting hours. A spring burial will be held in Millinocket Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
