ORONO – Eleanor Towle Bohan, 88, died Nov. 26, 2005, at Orono Commons. A native of Dover, N.H., she was a graduate of Dover High School and had lived in the family homestead in Dover, N.H. for approximately 70 years. In 1991, she and her husband Raymond moved to Maine to be near family. She had many jobs in Dover, including Ora’s Candy Shoppe and 17 years as an assistant at the Marjorie Carberry Kindergarten. Eleanor appreciated the love of her many new friends in the Bangor area but also held close all her old friends from Dover. The family and Eleanor have appreciated the care and attention of doctors and caregivers of Orono Commons and Eastern Maine Hospice. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond F. Bohan. She is survived by a son, Peter R. Bohan of Jefferson, N.H.; a daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Stephen Murray of Orono; a granddaughter and husband, Karen and Peter White of Riverview, Fla.; granddaughters, Jodi Simon and Bonnie Rose Bohan of Belchertown, Mass.; a great- grandson, Joseph Michael Simon; grandsons, Patrick Daniel Bohan and Kenneth P. Bohan (U.S. Navy) of Belchertown, Mass. Calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 29, at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, N.H., where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
