BANGOR and HALLANDALE, Fla. – Helen Kamber, 76, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died Dec. 13, 2003, at a Miami hospital. She was born Sept. 3, 1927, in Chelsea, Mass., the daughter of Cyrus and Irene (Meyers) Slotnick. Helen was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, Beth Israel Sisterhood, and a member of the Hadassah. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dr. William E. Kamber of Hallandale, Fla.; one daughter and her husband, Randie and Stephen Lamson of Bangor; her granddaughter, Jamie Lamson of Miami, Fla.; several cousins; and many special friends. She immersed herself in her granddaughter, friends and loved her friends and family very much. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a very special cousin, Cynthia Ginsberg. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday at the Jewish Chapel, 118 Center St., Bangor with Rabbi David Cantor, officiating. Interment will be in Beth Israel Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites friends to visit with them at the daughter’s home, 410 Mount Hope Ave., Bangor, following the service or anytime during the week.
