PRINCETON – Helen M. Tupper, 87, died Feb. 18, 2005, following a brief illness at a Calais hospital. She was born Aug. 24, 1917, in Princeton, the daughter of Harry and Ellen (Brown) McGouldrick. Helen lived most of her life in Princeton. She was an avid knitter winning awards and having patterns published in Needlework Magazine. She and her husband, Ed, were known for their beautiful garden and selling their vegetables. She was predeceased by her husband, Ed, in 1996; a sister, Marvel Washburn; two brothers, Bill and Richard. Surviving are one son, Ronald and his wife, Joanne; two grandsons, Stephen and his wife, Bonnie, and David and his wife, Tammy; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, and Jessica; four sisters, May, Anne, Mildred, Dorothy; one brother, Donald and his wife, Geraldine, along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, Calais. A devotion service and prayers will be held at 8:30 p.m. with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Spring Burial will be in the Princeton Cemetery with Pastor Linwood Trott conducting services.
