CARIBOU – Helen F. Theriault, 93, wife of the late Reney Theriault, died Nov. 14, 2003, at a Caribou healthcare facility following a brief illness. She was born Nov. 25, 1909, in Caribou, the daughter of Frederick and Agnes (Doak) Hitchcock. She was educated in the Caribou school system and was a sales clerk for several Caribou businesses and was also employed at Birds Eye Division of General Foods. She was loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Helen was a member of the Holy Family Rosary Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Catholic Golden age. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald “Pit” and Christine Theriault of Caribou, and Dale Theriault and his friend, Joyce Kujala, of West Boylston, Mass.; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Charles Barnes of Caribou; a son-in-law, Sonny Poole of Eaton, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Barbara Jean Hug, Ricky Theriault, Brenda Theriault, Michael Theriault, Jill Theriault, Nicole Gawthorp, Kevin Barnes and Daren Barnes; five great-grand-children; and two great-great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her husband in 1980; a daughter, Natalie Poole in 1993; three brothers, Albert, Clarence and Wilson Doak; and by three sisters, Delma Cameron, Alma Gahagan and Edith Deeves. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with evening prayer services being held at 7 p.m. by the officers and members of the Ladies of St. Anne. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Father David Raymond, associate pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Theriault, may do so through the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Building Fund.
