LINCOLN – Helena Blanche Parker, 93, passed away peacefully April 3, 2008, at her home. She was born July 12, 1914, in Millinocket, the daughter of John and Martha Ferris. Helena was a member of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, an avid bridge player and loved to cook for her family. Helena is survived by her son, Carl Parker and his wife, Cynthia, of Bangor; three granddaughters, Courtney and husband, Lee Rice, and their daughter, Kate Lehnhard, Sara and husband, Scott Flagg, and children, Brock and Allie and Abby and husband, Craig Glass, and son, Evan; special nieces, Carol Wedge and Jean Currier, several other nieces and nephews; and friend, Jean Jordan. She was predeceased by her husband, Cleveland; her son, baby Cleve; brothers and sisters, Charlie, Herbie, Marion, Eleanor, Francis, Stella, Johnny, Edith and Gerry; and longtime friends, Anna Armstrong, Ruby Eddy and Shirley Butterfield. The family thanks hospice nurse, Lori Libbey and the Legion of Mary of St. Mary’s Church for being so good to Helena. A visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Myles Cyr, presiding.
