ST. AGATHA – Helene (Dumond) Pelletier, 96, of Bristol, Conn., died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Nursing Care Center of Bristol, Conn. Born June 3, 1910, in Madawaska, daughter of the late Soverin and Catherine (Cyr) Dumond. She was a lifelong resident of St. Agatha before moving to New Britain, Conn., where she worked and retired from North and Judd after eight years of service. In 1972, she returned to St. Agatha to retire with her late husband of more than 50 years, Alfred Pelletier. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. In 1982, she moved to Bristol, Conn. to live and be cared for by her daughter, Sylvia Nadeau and granddaughter, Jennifer. She is survived by her sister, Lillian Beaulieu of Biddeford; nine daughters, Irma Pelletier and husband, Camille, of St. Anne de Madawaska, N.B., Canada, Thelma (Cyr) Hopkins of Deltona, Fla., Rosemarie Gauvin and husband, Guy, of Bristol, Conn., Blanche Cyr of Charlotte, N.C., Edwina Sirois and husband, Reno, of Madawaska, Edna Sweet and husband, Eldon, of Sioux, Iowa, Cecile Casey of Madawaska, Lorraine Gosselin and husband, Germain, of Terryville, Conn. and Sylvia Nadeau of Bristol, Conn.; five sons, Normand “Armand” and wife, Francis, of Deltona, Fla., Roger and wife, Eileen, of Van Buren, Roland and wife, Rose Mary, of Berlin, Conn.; daughter-in-law, Carol Pelletier, wife of the late Milford Pelletier, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Romeo and wife, Linda, of Barre, Vt., Ronald and wife, Lourdes, of Berlin, Conn.; 57 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grand-children. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Pelletier; a daughter, Nora Pelletier; a son, Milford Pelletier; and a grandson, Olidor Pelletier. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and warm appreciation to the dedicated nurses and staff of Bellevue Nursing Care Center of Bristol, Conn. Especially for the special care and warm treatment throughout the years and for the dedicated, special care and treatment they provided for Helene and the family during her final days. Calling hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 23 and noon Saturday, June 24, at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at St. Agatha Church, St. Agatha.
