PEMBROKE and CALAIS – Herbert W. Moore, 97, went to be with the Lord, Feb. 22, 2005, at a Calais nursing home. He was born July 28, 1907, in Pembroke, the son of Nellie Moore. He is survived by his wife, Irene (Lyons) Moore, of Calais; daughter, Helen Elsemore and husband, Dennis, of Princeton; son, Waverly Moore and wife, Betty, of Bradenton, Fla., son Gary Moore and wife, Donna, of Baileyville; two sisters, Greta Stevens of Calais, Maysie Munson of Orono; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. He was a member of the Pembroke Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held later in the spring.
