MILLINOCKET – Hilda A. Murray, 82, wife of the late Milton “Tim” Murray, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Millinocket Regional Hospital. She was born May 13, 1925, in Millinocket, the daughter of George and Mary (Wedge) Boutaugh. Hilda grew up in Millinocket and attended Stearns High School. Hilda was very talented with her hands and could make almost anything. One year she took a woodworking class at Stearns Adult Education and made a set of cupboards for her camp. During winters, Hilda would make Memorial Flowers and during the month of May, she and Tim would sell them on Peddler’s Hill. She was a wonderful cook, and loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and an avid fan of the Boston Celtics. Hilda was a communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish and was a member and past regent of the Daughters of Isabella, Little Flower Circle, Millinocket. In recent months, Hilda had enjoyed volunteering, along with her daughter, at The Thrift Store. She is survived by two children, Priscilla Leet and her hus-band, Bob, and Bob Murray, all of Millinocket; two grandchildren, Steven Leet and his fiance, Sue, and Lisa Murray and her fiance, Skip; six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Josh, Alex, Brandon, Mikala and Chippy; two sisters, Nadine Boutaugh of Rockledge, Fla., and Ann Marie Boutaugh of West Hartford, Conn.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by many loyal friends who visited her and called on her. In addition to her husband of 63 years, Hilda was predeceased by a brother, Winston Boutaugh; and a sister, Alice Page. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 112 Maine Ave., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider. Spring interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Hilda may be sent to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
