STONINGTON – Hilda Joyce Orcutt, 74, died May 6, 2008, at a Blue Hill hospital. She was born Dec. 14, 1933, in Deer Isle, the daughter of Alfred and Alice (Eaton) Joyce. Hilda was a member of the Rebekah’s of Stonington. She enjoyed playing Beano, taking rides on Sundays, and especially enjoyed taking family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Brandon H. Orcutt of Stonington; one son, Larry Orcutt and his wife, Cheryl, of Deer Isle; one daughter, Cheryl and her husband, David Eaton, of Stonington; three grandsons, Ben, Dennis and Matthew; two great-granddaughters, Kiersten Ann and Madison Marie; one sister, Edrie Ciomei of Stonington; one brother, Arvard Joyce and his wife, Carolyn, of Stonington; one special nephew, Claton Joyce and his son, Jeffery, of Stonington; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and many special friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Robert Joyce; and one special niece, Norene Joyce.
