DEDHAM and OLDSMAR, Fla. – Holly Simpson, 56, went home to be with the Lord July 25, 2007, with her family by her side after a brief battle of lung cancer. She was born March 10, 1951, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Emil Kenney and the late Lula Kenney. Holly was employed at AT&T, Bangor, in her earlier years and also cleaned houses for many years. Before moving to Florida in 2005, she was employed at Acadia Hospital, as a front desk receptionist. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as sunbathing, swimming, gardening and especially enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and a great friend to many, and often shared her faith and wisdom with others. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Emil and Joyce Kenney; her children, Lance Lord of Florida, Audra Buchanan and her husband, David and their children, Jadynn and Egan, of Florida; step-daughter, Kyra and her fianc?, Josh and their children, Zachary, Kaitlynn and Madison, of Maine. Holly was also survived by her brothers, Jim and his family of California, Robert and his family of Virginia, David of Massachusetts; and her sister, Kathleen and her family of Maine, not to mention many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A graveside service was held July 30, at Mount Hope Cemetery. Thank you to all who came and celebrated her life with us. Holly loved her friends and family very much. She will be missed by many.
