PRESQUE ISLE – Howard S. Shorette, 49, died Jan. 24, 2004, at his home following a long illness. He was born in Upper Hafford AFB, England, the son of Walter and Flora (McDonald) Shorette. He was a graduate of Presque Isle High School and had been employed for many years at Maine D.O.T. Howard lived every moment as if life was one great big party. He was a gentle and kind-hearted man who loved his family and friends very much. He was also one of the television show Cops most devoted fans. Surviving him are his children, Shane S. Shorette and his wife, Josephine, of Corinna, Ryan D. Shorette of Presque Isle, and Nicole D. Shorette of Vasselboro; grandchildren, Devon Graf and Shane Shorette; a brother, Laurence D. Shorette of Presque Isle; special friends, Margie Rankin, Sue and Stan Jargonski, Troy Foster, Bill and Lucy Strout; and many others. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 p.m. Thursday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A spring interment will be in the St Mary’s North Main, St. Cemetery, Presque Isle.
