WHITING – Hubert Carlton Chamberlain, 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and Barbara his bride of 54 years, March 13, 2007. He was born in Howland, to George and Mildred Chamberlain. Carlton and Barbara raised their children in Connecticut and then moved to Downeast Maine, where they had resided since 1976. It was most important to Carlton that his loved ones would grow in Christ and be healthy and content in living out their purpose and calling. He also had a passion to share the salvation message of Jesus with everyone who would listen! He will be greatly missed by his family, family in the Lord, and those who knew him. He was predeceased by his four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his three children, Deborah, Gregory, and Robin; his six grandchildren, Aaron and Leslie, Trevor and Bethel, Ian, and Justin. Anyone who would like to attend, is welcome to join family and friends for visiting hours 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 6 Cooper St., Machias. A celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at the 1st Congregational Christian Church of Machiasport, Route 92, Machiasport.
