PENOBSCOT – Ida Josephine (Gray), 94, died April 1, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1912, in Sedgwick, daughter of John A. and Annie Laurie (Pert) Gray. Ida was a 55 year member of the Castine Grange No. 250 and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Bangor. She loved animals, worked in a Belfast Sardine Factory and was well known for her blueberry and wreath sales. Ida is survived by three sisters, Muriel Derosier of Holbrook, Mass., Nellie Smith of Sedgwick and Eleanor Davis of Holbrook, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry Phillips; sister, Mildred MacDonald. A graveside memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at the Castine Cemetery, Castine, with Pastor Alan Cyr officiating.
