MILLINOCKET – Ida L. Boynton, 91, passed away June 17, 2007, with her family by her side at a Brewer health care facility. She was born Aug. 16, 1915, in Millinocket, the daughter of Remi and Leda (Bouchard) Gauvin. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Boynton, who died in 1995. Ida was a lifelong resident of Millinocket, graduating from Stearns High School, Class of 1933. She worked for Preble’s Fuel Co., until she married in 1939. She attended the First Congregational Church, Millinocket. In addition to her husband of 56 years, she was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her beloved family, Judith McLaughlin and husband, David, of Millinocket, Donna Krehl and husband, Ed, of Waxhau, N.C.; son, Arnold Boynton Jr. and wife, Deborah, of Millinocket, Gail Colangelo and husband, Tony, of Bangor; 10 very special grandchildren, Lisa, Kip, Kevin, Beth, Jeff, Chris, Tony, Kathy, Michael and Nicole; nine very special great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dean, Michael Conor, Sarah, Rebekah, Katlyn, Jacqueline, Claudia and Michael; several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws; a special friend, Harry Marden and many other friends, whom she enjoyed going to lunch, Meals for Me, Plus and Minus, and widows get together. Ida will be missed by all. In accordance to Ida’s wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. There will be a graveside memorial service held in July with the Rev. Lyn Bradley, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Millinocket, officiating.
