PARKMAN – Frank Carl Decker, 66, passed away June 15, 2007, in a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home, after a fierce battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 12, 1940, in Milo, the son of Carl Decker and Emily Fearon Boles. Frank attended schools in Brownville Junction, New Brunswick, Canada, Bangor and Columbus, Kan. He also earned his apprenticeship in ironwork in San Diego. His work took him to many places throughout the U.S., though he always preferred rural Maine. In later years, he worked in carpentry and house painting. Frank enjoyed the great outdoors and found great peace and contentment fishing the brooks of Piscataquis County, accompanied by his faithful dog, Butch. Frank is survived by his parents; two sons, Frank and Steve Bourassa of Sanford; a sister, Sandra Harmon of Dover-Foxcroft; three brothers, Don Boles of Dover-Foxcroft, Carl Decker Jr., and Tommy Decker of Sanford; several grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces, nephews and cousins. After cremation, a funeral will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Route 15, Dover-Foxcroft. The family invites friends and relatives to share remembrances and refreshments after services at the home of Tim Harmon, 16 Maple St., Dover-Foxcroft.
