FORT KENT – Ida Martin, 94, passed away peacefully Feb. 16, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Frenchville. She was born Sept. 30, 1913, in Van Buren, the daughter of Levite and Alvina (Pelletier) Dube. She worked as a clerk at Grant’s, Fort Kent. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Fort Kent since its inception and she was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne of Fort Kent. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude Martin in 1968. She is survived by her son, Reynold Martin of Cross Lake; two daughters, Claudette Martin of Madawaska Lake and Sandra Pelletier of Fayetteville, Pa.; and one sister, Margaret Gratten of Pittsford, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Mon-day, May 19, 2008, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Those who wish may donate in her memory to St. Joseph’s Nursing Home Activities Fund, Route 1 Box 426, Frenchville, ME 04745. Arrangements are in the care of Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent.
