EAGLE LAKE – Irene (Blaine) Ouellette, 82, died Dec. 21, 2003, at an Eagle Lake healthcare facility. She was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Roxbury, Mass., the daughter of Edward and Cora (Duplesis) Blain. Irene enjoyed cooking and one of her favorite pastimes was sewing. She was very proud of the commercial she made for VNA during her illness. She was owner and operator of Eddie’s Variety in Lawrence, Mass., before enter-ing into banking on the Merrimack Regional Area. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Edmond Ouellette of Fort Kent, to whom she was married for 60 years; her son, George and his wife, Janet Ouellette of Manchester, N.H.; her sister, Pauline Brownstein of Westwood, Mass.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Louis, John and George Blain. A spring committal service will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in West Andover, Mass.
