BANGOR and LEWISTON – Irene Elizabeth Smith, 36, died Aug. 22, 2006, at a Lewiston health care facility. She was born Feb. 3, 1970, in Bangor, the daughter of Eugene and Judith (Elliott) Smith. She is survived by her parents, Judith and her husband, Ralph Pinkham; four loving sisters, Wendy Briggs, Susan Smith, Kelley AbdelQader and Gena Hersey; several nieces and one nephew; and a very special thanks to Sam, who has been like a sister to her. The family sends special thanks to Montello Manor and Ellen Richardson. Irene was predeceased by her father in 1991; her grandparents, Irene in 1979 and John Elliott in 2000. We love her so much and will miss her until we meet again. Private services were held Thursday, Aug. 24, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Orrington.
