BATH and PRESQUE ISLE Janette M. Rose, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, with her family by her side, at a Brunswick hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1924, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Clarence and Jennie (Skinner) Brown. Janette graduated from Presque Isle High School and trained at Mercy Hospital to become a licensed practical nurse. She worked as a nurse for many years at the Presque Isle Hospital and Bath Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed the senior citizens club in Bath, as well as doing crafts and family gatherings. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Faulkingham and her husband, Donald, of Woolwich; grandchildren, Stephen Faulkingham of Woolwich, Chris Faulkingham of West Bath, Woody Rose of Augusta, Shawn Rose of Augusta, Tina Tsirigotis of Durham, N.C., and Tammy Lepage; great-grandchildren, Samantha Faulkingham of Westport Island, Hope Faulkingham of West Bath and Paige Faulkingham of West Bath, Page Tsirigotis of Durham, N.C.; brothers, Richard Brown of Buskirk, N.Y., Louis Brown of Wiscasset, Clyde Brown of Presque Isle, Carl Brown of Manchester, Conn.; sisters, Virginia Brand and her husband, John, of Green Valley, Ariz., and Irene Lannigan and her husband, William, of East Waterboro; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Rose of Augusta; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Janette was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Rose Feb. 8, 1954; a son, Donald Jan. 16, 1986; a brother, Kenneth Brown; and a sister, Mildred Langston. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
