HOULTON – Irene Etta (Baston) Green, wife of the late Wyman W. Green, died Nov. 28, 2006, at Madigan Estates, Houlton. She was born July 8, 1922, in Bridgewater, the daughter of Henry and Linda (Tibbetts) Baston. Irene worked for many years at Maine Potato Service, Presque Isle and at Vahlsing Potato Service, Easton. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Caribou and a past member of the Crescent Rebekah Lodge No. 121 of Bridgewater. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Group, Caribou, where she enjoyed the company of many friends. She lived most of her life in Bridgewater and then for more than 25 years in Caribou and the last two years in Danforth. She was predeceased by her husband and is the last sibling of a large family, having been predeceased by brother, Charles Baston; and sisters, Bessie, Verna, Fern, Beatrice, Elsie, Vesta, Elizabeth and Betty. Irene is survived by daughters, Jeannette and husband, Darrell Springer, of Weston, Lorraine and husband, Dave Springer, of Weston, Sheila and husband, Kenneth Adams, of Presque Isle and Deanna and husband, Chris Nastos, of Marlton, N.J. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family is thankful for the compassionate care given to Irene during her stay at Madigan Estates. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, Caribou, or to the Danforth Baptist Church, Danforth. Friends and family members are invited to attend a time of remembrance for Irene, 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the First Settler’s Lodge, Weston.
