CHARLESTON and HUDSON Irene H. Mailman, 89, wife of the late George A. Mailman, died May 2, 2007, at a Brewer nursing home, after a long illness. She was born April 5, 1918, in Talmadge, the daughter of William and Laura (Lee) Reed. She was a former resident of Hudson and Observatory Apartments, Charleston and attended the Charleston Baptist Church, prior to her move to the nursing home several years ago. She is survived by a niece, Mary Jameson and her family of Leyard, Conn.; a stepdaughter, Alice Shannon and her family of Bangor; two stepdaughters-in-law, Joyce Mailman and her family of Bradford, and Donaldene Mailman and her family of Hudson. Irene was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Haskell. Friends may call 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, until the time of service 10 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, with Pastor Cynthia Nickerson officiating. Committal services and burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at Danforth Cemetery, Danforth.
