BUCKSPORT – Irene J. (Laflamme) Gowen, 81, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born April 16, 1923, in Lewiston, the daughter of Armand and Emilina (Demers) Laflamme. She married Ralph V. Gowen, her beloved husband, Aug. 12, 1965. Irene loved making decorative pillows and gave them out to all of her family and friends. She loved attending and being involved with her church and was a kind, compassionate, and giving lady. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ralph Gowen of Bucksport; a daughter, Linda DuBois of Dixfield; a grandson, Sean DuBois of Dixfield; three sisters, Armande Corcoran of Poland, Doris Marquis of Lewiston, and Deloris Asselin of Lewiston; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters; and three brothers. Spring interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Poland. Arrangements by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
