IRENE (JACKSON) MCBREAIRTY ST. FRANCIS – Irene (Jackson) McBreairty, 76, died peacefully April 23, 2008, at her residence. She was born June 2, 1931, in Allagash, the daughter of Aaron Sr. and Melissa (Thibodeau) Jackson. Irene’s favorite pastimes were arts and crafts. She is survived by her 16 children, Nathan McBreairty of Kansas City, Mo., Linda Gardner of Bangor, Donnie McBreairty of Embden, Rose Perrot of Berwick, Sheldon McBreairty of Allagash, Willard McBreairty of Bigbend, Calif., Colleen Pelletier of Terryville, Conn., Ronnie McBreairty of Oakland, Marie Thomas of Plymouth, Conn., Joyia Ouel-lette of Fort Kent, Frank Mc-Breairty of Allagash, Kim Mc-Breairty of Allagash, Elbridge McBreairty of Bristol, Conn., Cindy St. Jean of Preston, Conn., Lila Landry of Gardiner and Tina Jandreau of St. Fran-cis; 48 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Irene is also survived by six brothers and sisters, Percy Jackson of Caribou, Louis Jackson of Fort Fairfield, Maynard Jackson of St. Francis, Annie Martin of Presque Isle, Verna Hughes of Thomaston, Conn., and Jen-nette Dodd of New Milford, Conn.; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addi-tion to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald McBreairty Sr. in 2002; and one son, Anthony Mc-Breairty in 2001. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Friday at Allagash Pente-costal Church, Allagash. Spring burial will be held May 14 at Allagash Municipal Cemetery.
