ELLSWORTH – Irene M. Foss, 63, died Nov. 19, 2004, at an Ellsworth healthcare facility surrounded by her family. She was born July 14, 1941, in Columbia Falls, the daughter of Harley and Goldie O. (Grant) Hurlbert. Irene is survived by her daughters, Gale Coughlin and husband, Michael, of Trenton, Tracy Kyle and husband, Larry, of Columbia Falls; sisters, Delia Dow and husband, Frank of Cherryfield, Lois Worcester and husband, Thomas “Buddy,” of Centerville; granddaughters, Ashley and Lacey Wakefield; grandson, Sean Herlihy; great-granddaughter, Sidney Herlihy; nephews, Douglas and Ray Young Jr., Dean, Darrell, Dana and Dennis Worcester; niece, Rena Perry; aunt, Louise Emerson of Columbia Falls; uncle, Clinton and wife, Rose Grant, of Harrington; special friends, Jan Grindle and Jean Simmons. Irene was predeceased by a brother, Alan D. Hurlbert. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at the Greenwood Cemetery, Tibbetts Town Road, Columbia. All are welcome.
