CARIBOU – Irene Mary Picard, 78, died May 16, 2008, in Van Buren. She was born May 24, 1930, in Van Buren, the daughter of Albert and Amanda (Levesque) Levesque. Irene was educated in the Connor school system and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Irene was a very devoted Catholic, who loved Jesus and dedicated herself to prayer and scripture. She is survived by two brothers, Addes Levesque and Lawrence Levesque, both of Caribou; two sisters, Edwina Van Ness of Buena Vista, Colo., and Alma Boucher of Colchester, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Levesque; and two sisters, Yvonne Ouellette and Hazel Levesque. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Family and friends are invited to attend at Mass of Christian burial 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Chanel Cyr officiating.
