BAR HARBOR – Irma V. Arnold, wife of the late Rev. Richard Arnold, died Nov. 25, 2004, in Bar Harbor. She was born in Brewer, the daughter of Willis W. and Grace E. (Field) Nickerson. She was educated in the Brewer school system. She was a private student of Grace Bramhall Howes studying piano and pipe organ at the Bangor Conservatory. For many years Irma was a teacher of piano and organ. She was organist for several years at the Brewer United Methodist Church. Irma is survived by two children, Rev. Linwood R. Arnold of South Portland, Valerie (Arnold) Davis of Bar Harbor; five grandchildren, a sister, Charlotte (Nickerson) Hood of Virginia Beach, Va. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul F. Nickerson. At Irma’s request, gifts in her memory may be made to The Women’s Collective, 36 Mount Desert St., Bar Harbor, ME 04609. At her request there will be no funeral services.
