CARIBOU – Isabelle Mary Lewis, 86, wife of the late Earl Lewis Sr., died March 22, 2006, at Caribou. She was born June 14, 1919, in St. Anne, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Willy and Anna (Saucier) Plourde. Mrs. Lewis attended the Caribou United Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who took great pride in family. She is survived by five sons, Pastor Darrell Lewis and his wife, Beth, of Highland N.Y., Earl Lewis Jr. and his wife, Brenda, Robert Lewis and his wife, Mary, Bryant Lewis and James Lewis, all of Caribou; two daughters, Cindy Nichols and her husband, Joe, of Austin, Texas and Susan Dudley of Caribou; one brother, William Plourde of Caribou; four sisters, Rose Boutot of Winslow, Amanda Bourgoine of Madawaska, Mildred Blanchette of Caribou and Mary Jane Higgins and her husband, Keith, of Presque Isle; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lewis was predeceased by her husband, Earl in 1985; four brothers, Leo, Wilfred, Rosaire and Lionel Plourde; and a sister, Laura Thibodeau. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Kiehn, pastor of the Caribou United Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Grimes Cemetery.
