HAVERHILL, Mass. and DAIGLE – Isabelle (Pelletier) Charette, 91, of Newburyport, Mass., died peacefully Thursday evening, April 13, 2006, at Kenoza Manor Convalescent Home in Haverhill, Mass., with her family by her side. Isabelle was born March 17, 1915, in Daigle, the daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Voisine) Pelletier. She lived in Fort Kent with her husband, George Charette, for most of her life where they owned and operated a small country store. Isabelle was an avid knitter and a kind, gentle spirit who touched many of those blessed to have known her. She leaves behind her only child, Odette (Charette) Carr and son-in-law, Everett of Newburyport Mass.; and her two beloved grandsons, Geno Sumner, who resides in Manchester, Mass. and Jarid Sumner, who resides in Queens, N.Y. She is also survived by her only living sibling, Adrien Pelletier from Wethersfield, Conn.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Isabelle was predeceased by her husband, George in 1994; her sisters, Matte and Theresa; and her brothers, Ronald, Rosaire and Alyre. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday until time of service, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be May 11, in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Kenoza Manor Residence Fund, 190 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
