RIPLEY – J. Rebecca “Becky” Sevey, 81, died Aug. 14, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Aug. 10, 1926, in Dexter, daughter of Ralph and Effie (Nichols) McKusick. Becky graduated from N.H. Fay High School, Class of 1947. She was a former town clerk of Ripley and was actively involved in many community organizations. Becky loved collecting teddy bears and working in her flower gardens around her home on Ripley Pond. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren in the Maine outdoors. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ernest L. Sevey of Ripley; children, Howard Sevey and his wife, Susan, and Sue Snow and her husband, Jeff, all of Skowhegan; two brothers, Rodney McKusick of Arizona, and Dean McKusick of Dexter and Florida; grandchildren, Chris and Jessica (Sevey) McKneally, Erin Sevey, Nicole Sevey, Jim and Miranda Snow, Mike and Nicole Snow, Eric Bickford and Jasmine Bickford. She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Gordon. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter, with Pastor Lois Field officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley.
