JACQUELINE G. SIMONDS BANGOR – Jacqueline G. Simonds, “Sunshine Nannie,” 79, passed away March 6, 2008, in Bangor. She was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Washburn, the daughter of Basil A. and Thetis (Gould) Churchill. Jackie was a very special lady and touched the lives of everyone with her loving acceptance, her witty humor and her graceful manner. She had many talents and enjoyed sp-ending her time as an accomplished seamstress and a creative artist. Sunshine Nannie was a gift to all of us and even though our hearts are broken with her passing, they are also filled with her special love that we carry with us forever. Surviving are her mother, Thetis Churchill of Houlton; one brother, Arlen and his wife, Pat, of Tucson, Ariz.; seven children, Melanie of Turner, Felecia and her husband, Brian, of Patten, Shawn and his wife, Sue, of Islip, N.Y., Kimberly of Bangor, Jim of Hudson, Scott of Vinalhaven and Mark of Veazie. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Garth, Erick, Matthew, Karrie, Meghan, Laura, Scott E., Shania, Destiny, Robert, Raymond, Zachary and Missy. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Simonds in 1986. Goodbye, Nannie. We will never forget you. Friends may visit 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a service celebrating and honoring her life will begin 6:30 p.m. with the Rev.
