BANGOR – Jacquelyn (King) Pelletier, 46, stepped into heaven and joined the choir of Angels, praising her Lord on Feb. 27, 2005. She was born Nov. 24, 1958, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Gordon and Rena King. Jacquie had the gift of music and she sang like an Angel. She used this gift to bless her Lord and others. She always had a huge smile on her face whenever she sang. Jacquie enjoyed singing wherever she was, and was involved in the praise and worship team of her church, as well as community theater. After a severe asthma attack in Aug. 2001, Jacquie was unable to walk, sing, or speak as before. As devastating as this was, she never lost her zest for life. Her mind was sharp, her wit refreshing, and her heart ever open to engulf all those she loved. When people went to visit Jacquie, intending to bless her, they came out being blessed themselves. She lived most of her childhood on Mount Desert Island and graduated from MDI High School in 1977. She was a member of the Bangor Garden Club. She had great love and devotion for her family and friends. She always went out of her way to make people feel loved and welcomed. She is survived by her devoted husband of 24 years, Peter Pelletier; and their two children, Jeffery and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sister, Jill King and brother-in-law, Tim Mullin of Philadelphia, Penn.; her two brothers and their wives, Rodney and Nancy King, Tim and Ginger King; her sister, Teresa and her husband, Kevin LeClair, all of Otter Creek; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Jeffrey Carl King. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Bangor Baptist Church, 1476 Broadway, with the Rev. Johannes Knies and the Rev. G. Martin Gentzler, co-officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the Church. If you would like to remember Jacquie in a special way contributions may be sent to Worship North Church, care of Valarie McDougal, 26 James St., Bangor, ME 04401.
