PRINCETON – James “Bill” Thomas Seavey, 69, died unexpectedly Monday, June 27, 2005, at his residence. Bill was born July 15, 1935, in Calais, son of the late Herbert and Christina (Rooney) Seavey. He married Mina “Joanne” Henry Dec. 2, 1955, in St. George, N.B. Bill was employed as a road supervisor, and later as the supervisor at the Chip Processing Yard for Georgia Pacific for more than 40 years. He was a member of Lewy’s Island Lodge No. 138, Princeton, Anah Temple Shrine in Bangor, the Princeton Rod & Gun Club, Maine Blade Runners, and in 1998 a member of the Maine Bass Federation Team. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp on the St. Croix River with his special friends. In addition to his loving wife of more than 49 years, Joanne; Bill is survived by two sons, Bill Seavey Sr. and his wife, Heidi, of South Princeton, and Mark Seavey and his wife, Kathleen, of Baileyville; two brothers, Herbert Seavey and Elyse of Reno, Nev., and George Seavey and Alice of Dunnellon, Fla.; four grandchildren, Billy Seavey Jr. and Laura of Calais, Andrew Seavey of Ft. Polk, La., Michealene Spencer and her husband, Ian, of Lincoln, and Phylicia Seavey of Baileyville; a great-grandson, Tristan Seavey; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with Pastor Dana Kadey officiating. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery.
