OLD TOWN – William P. Hunt III “Billy”, 67, died peacefully June 27, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 4, 1937, in Bangor, the son Ruth V. (Shesong) Ross and the late Leonard R. Hunt and the late Lt. Col. Donald P. Ross. Billy was a beloved member of a family who cherished him with deep affection. He had many friends in the community because of his loving and caring nature and his infectious smile and presence on Center Street. He is survived and will be sadly missed by a sister, Dr. Ann P. Ross, Analies, Cid Ross Dajjak, Dr. Jimmy, Tony Ross, Dr. Philip Ross, Josephine Ross and Margaret; nephew, Nathaniel Hunt and Shelly; nieces, Grace, Eden and Lillian of Pownal; niece, Elizabeth Hunt of Brunswick; cousins, Walter G. Cogswell and Joanne, Lawrence P. Cogswell Jr. and Sharon, Cathy and John Cogswell Schienman, Carol and Alan Cogswell Fleck, Sarah and Theo, Lawrence P. Cogswell III and Maria; nephews, Stephen White and Alda, Ralph and Cricket White, Alice and David White Bort, Aura and Robert White Hearne, Rachel and Robert Milheron, John Kyle; and many second cousins. At the families request there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, at the St. James Episcopal Church, Center Street, Old Town. Committal will be held immediately following the service at Lawndale Cemetery in Old Town. Friends and family are invited back to the church for refreshments and continued fellowship.
