BANGOR – James C. McCourt, 78, died Nov. 1, 2007, at his home. He was born March 24, 1929, in Portland, the son of James P. and Mary (Carson) McCourt. Jim was a graduate of North High School, Worcester, Mass., Class of 1948 and Clark University, Worcester, Mass., Class of 1952. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he went to work for J.J. Newberry Co., and finally worked for Parke Davis Pharmaceutical, retiring after 33 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty McCourt and family; and one sister, Judith Girouard of Massachusetts. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Gary Ross and the staff at Brewer Family Medicine and St. Joseph Hospice, for the loving care shown to Jim.
