JAMES E. LYONS MILFORD – James E. Lyons, 57, husband of Sandra (Lonko) Lyons died Dec. 23, 2003, at a Bangor hospital following a brief illness. He was born July 22, 1946, in Arlington, Va., a son of Robert and Nancy (Teague) Lyons. He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Jim was a member and past officer of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge No. 1287 of Old Town, Fish and Game Association Chapter No. 1, and Local 80 Paperworkers Union. He was employed by the Georgia Pacific Mill in Old Town from 1976 to 2003. Jim enjoyed life and the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, building fishing rods, fly tying and reading. He was a talented musician and was involved in several local bands. He seemed to always be tinkering on something or repairing some structure. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Lyons of Sterling, Va.; his wife, Sandra Lyons of Milford; two sons, Nicholas Robert Lyons and Adam James Lyons of Milford; two brothers, Richard Lyons of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Bill Lyons of Ft. Collins, Colo.; a sister, Mary Jane Lyons of Sterling, Va.; Aunt Ginny Lyons of Virginia; special Godchild, Charlotte Lonko; brother- and sisters-in-law from the Lonko family; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his father. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Parish with the Rev. Normand Richard, celebrant. Immediately following the Mass all are invited to the Parish Center for continued fellowship and light luncheon.
