PLYMOUTH and CORINNA James Elton Pearson, 72, died Dec. 19, 2007, at a Bangor rehab-ilitation center. He was born June 9, 1935, in Corinna, a son of Roy and Carrie (Eastman) Pearson. Jim graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1955, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed for 30 years as a bus driver with Greyhound Bus Lines. Jim was a member of Corinna United Methodist Church, Parian Lodge No. 160 AF & AM, Anah Shrine, Consistory and Tri-County Shrine Club. He is survived by a son, William of Plymouth; a daughter, Dawntina Dumas of Dexter; brother, Robert and wife, Arlene Pearson, of Corinna; sister, Virginia and husband, Richard Haseltine, of Orrington; and a great-grandchild, Kristen James Jones of Dexter; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, with the Rev. Stan Griffin officiating. Spring interment will be at Corinna Village Cemetery.
